Abstract


In order to verify the effect of (SQ3R) strategy on the cognitive and skillful achievement of some vocabulary subjects in teaching methods. The researcher used the experimental approach on a sample of third-stage female students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls - University of Baghdad, which amounted to (40) students distributed into two groups, an experimental and a control group, chosen randomly. The researcher reached the most important conclusions, including: the superiority of the experimental and control groups in the post-tests in skill performance, and the superiority of the experimental group over the control group in the post-test of cognitive achievement and skillful performance of teaching methods. The strategy (SQ3R) has a positive effect on the development of cognitive achievement and skill performance. The researcher recommends the need to use modern strategies to teach students to learn the motor skills of teaching methods and other materials. And conducting research using modern teaching strategies to find out their impact on learning motor skills and acquiring knowledge of various sports subjects.
