Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze some biomechanical variables in the (400m) arc run, and to know the effect of the studied variables on the (100m) arc run and (400m) time. The hypothesis of the research is that some of the biomechanical variables in the (400 m) arc run have an effect on the mechanical situation and its relationship to achievement. The researchers used the descriptive research method, and the research sample consisted of (4) runners representing the best players of the Al-Muthanna University team in running (400m) for the academic year (2022). To cover the (100m) distance, he ran an arc from the beginning of (400m).The results of the analysis also showed that the exaggerated increase in the stride length led to a decrease in speed. And it appeared through the results of dividing the step time into the time of support and flight that the percentage of the support time is less than the percentage of the flight time The lower the percentage of the pivot time, the greater the speed of the runner.
