Abstract

Choosing the appropriate training method is one of the factors that are given great importance in sports training, and among these training methods are Pi-lates-style exercises, a method of exercise consisting of low-shock movements for endurance, muscle strengthening and flexibility.The problem of the research Through researchers' follow-up to the game of basketball and through observation, he noticed that there is a decrease in the level of offensive skills of basketball players in the last half of the match, which researchers attribute to a decrease in some physical abilities, which negatively affects the level of offensive skills performance of basketball play-ers the basket.The research aims to prepare Pilates-style exercises for basketball players and to identify the effect of Pilates-style exercises on some physical abilities and some offensive skills of basketball players.The experimental approach was used in a one-group style, and was conduct-ed on the players of the National Center for the Care of Sports Talent. The pre and post tests were conducted for the research variables, and the training units lasted from 10/3/2022 to 10/5/2022.It was concluded that the exercises prepared in the style of Pilates proved their importance and role in the sports side, and that the exercises in the style of Pilates brought about a development in some physical abilities and offen-sive skills of the players of the National Center for the Care of Sports Talent.The researchers recommend that the use of exercises prepared in the style of Pilates in the National Center for the care of sports talent for basketball and work on developing physical abilities and offensive skills because they have an effective role in the numbers of players of the National Center for the care of sports talent.
