The Effect of Exercises Using an Educational Model on Learning the Feinting and Shooting Skills in Handball for Sixth-Grade Students

Abstract

The current study aims to develop exercises using an educational model designed to improve the quality of the learning process for basic handball skills, particularly shooting and simple feinting skills. The research population consisted of 55 sixth-grade primary school students. A sample of 10 students was randomly selected through a lottery method. The researcher used the experimental one-group design with a pre-test and post-test. After applying the prepared exercises using the educational model, the test and measurement of the research variables were conducted. Data were collected and analyzed using the statistical program (SPSS). The researcher concluded that the exercises prepared using the educational model had a positive effect on learning the skills of feinting and shooting among the sample, as indicated by the significant value. The researcher recommended using educational models in the process of teaching other basic handball skills.
