Abstract

The aim of the study was to prepare a healthy fitness approach for men aged 50-60 years and to determine its effect on Respiratory functional capacity. The research sample was limited to teaching public universities in Baghdad (University of Baghdad, Technology, Mustansiriya, Nahrain) with ages 50-60 years. To collect their study data, the two researchers used the experimental approach of a single group with both Pre and post-test. Data collection tools were applied to a sample of 54 public university teachers in Baghdad / Iraq. The sample was selected in a deliberate manner according to their consent to carry out pre and post tests and their approval on the application of the health fitness approach. After collecting the data obtained from the sample and processing them statistically, the researchers found that the health fitness approach has a positive effect on the Respiratory functional capacity in the research sample. The researchers recommended adopting the proposed fitness approach when designing health fitness programs.
