The Difficulties of Applying the Physical Education Lesson from the Teachers’ Point of View during Corona Pandademic

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the difficulties of applying the physical education lesson from the point of view of teachers in the time of Corona pandemic. The study population consisted of physical education teachers in the General Directorate of Education of Rusafa Third, who numbered (267) male and female teachers, and the study sample consisted of (208) teachers, who were selected using a simple random sample for the academic year 2020-2021. The researcher used the descriptive approach to suit the nature of the research and to achieve the objectives of the study, a study tool was designed that included a scale consisting of (27) paragraphs distributed on three areas (difficulties in carrying out the lesson, difficulties of lack of teacher experience, difficulties of evaluation) to know the difficulties that physical education teachers face in applying the physical education lesson, and to ensure the validity of the scale, the researcher presented it to a group of experts and specialists who modified some of the paragraphs and did not delete any of its paragraphs, The SPSS statistical package was used to process the data and extract the results ,The results of the study showed that there are many difficulties facing the application of the physical education lesson from the point of view of teachers in the time of Corona in the Directorate of Education of Baghdad, Rusafa III. The results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences due to the variables of gender, educational qualification and years of experience with regard to these difficulties , In light of the achieved results, the researcher recommends giving importance to the application of the physical education lesson in the time of Corona by the Ministry of Education and working to provide educational content that facilitates the implementation of the physical education lesson from a distance and providing the necessary tools, programs and courses that refine the teacher’s experience and make improvements to the current assessment methods and their adaptation To ensure that students’ achievement of the pass criteria for the next stage are met.
