Abstract

This study aimed to identify the degree of psychological fortification and its relationship to the level of the job performance of physical education teachers from the point of view of the school headmaster. The researcher assumed that there is a statistically significant relationship between the degree of psychological fortification and the level of the job performance of the study sample. The descriptive approach was adopted for the correlational relations to achieve the objectives of the study and its hypotheses. The sample of the study included (23) male and female teachers of physical education for preparatory schools only in the central district of Ramadi, which was chosen intentionally. The number of male teachers in those schools was (19) and the number of females was (7), who represented (15.11%) of the study population. The researcher concluded that there is a direct correlation between the degree of psychological fortification and the level of job performance for physical education teachers. In the conclusions, the researcher recommends: It is necessary to prepare counselling and educational seminars by those concerned in order to develop positive traits and reduce the negative traits of teachers in general and physical education teachers in particular, and to conduct other studies on different samples regardless of specialization and place of work.
