Abstract

Mathematical cognitive motivation among students of the College and Departments of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul, The aim of the search is to- Identifying the degree of mathematical cognitive motivation for students of the College and Departments of Physical Education and Sports Science at the University of Mosul.The researchers used the descriptive approach using the survey method, and the research community consisted of students of the College and Departments of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul for the academic year (2020-2021), and their number was (1528) male and female students, and the research sample included (230) male and female students, distributed On the students of the College and Departments of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul, the mathematical cognitive motivation scale prepared by (Al-Badrany, 2010) was used as a tool for data collection, and the statistical means were limited to: the arithmetic mean, the mode, the standard deviation, and the skew coefficient equation of (Carl Pearson). ), Pearson's simple correlation coefficient, t-test for two independent samples and one sample, the hypothetical mean of the scale, and the percentage.The researchers reached the following conclusions:Students of the College and Departments of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul in general enjoy a level of mathematical cognitive motivation, and this in turn is good, and is positively reflected on their (academic) level, as it gives them the motivation to adhere to the college system, respect others, and cooperate among them, which leads to success in their school life.
