Professional development requirements for heads of departments and sports institutes in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq in the light of quality standards

Abstract
The research aims to identify the goals of professional development and to identify the bodies responsible for professional development, to identify the professional development methods and programs; the researchers used the descriptive method in the survey method, due to its suitability to the nature of the research and the achievement of the goal. And one of the most important conclusions is that the existing professional development methods at the Ministry of Higher Education and Education in the region take into account the personal, professional and specialized aspects of the director of the educational administration, the lack of interest in the professional development of heads of departments and directors of sports institutes with regard to methods and models for solving quality problems, One of the most important recommendations is that he possesses adminis-trative, leadership and personal qualifications, and implementing profession-al development programs. The professional development process for them must be a continuous process from the beginning of his employment until the end of his service, with the development of programs and methods to suit their work time, interest in communication technology and its employment in administrative work.
