Abstract

The study aims to design an educational curriculum using proposed cognitive exercises (sense - movement) and the extent of the impact and effectiveness of these exercises on the experimental research sample in developing the ability of special motor agility and the skill of striking in changing direction in basketball (under study). Therefore, the researcher used the experimental approach in the manner of designing two equal and equal groups. In the number (experimental - control) with two tests (pre-post) on a sample consisting of a group of basketball players in the city of Ramadi, whose ages range from (16-17) years, and whose number is (20) players (community of origin), and in an intentional way, they were divided Divided into two groups of equal number, one of which was the experimental group, which numbered (10) players, and the other was the control group, which numbered (10) players, also with a percentage of (100%). After that, the proposed cognitive exercises (sense - movement) were applied to the experimental research sample in developing motor agility ability. The special skill of tapping and changing direction in basketball, while these exercises were withheld from the control group, which practiced the traditional curriculum (exercises) prepared by the coach, as the subject curriculum continued for (8) consecutive weeks with two educational units per week, so the total number of educational units became (16). Through this unit, the researcher reached several conclusions, the most important of which was that the educational curriculum according to the proposed cognitive educational exercises (sense - movement) had an effective and positive impact on the experimental group in raising its educational level in developing the ability of special motor agility and the skill of striking in changing direction in basketball. Therefore, the researcher set out a number of recommendations, the most important of which is conducting similar studies and research that approach this study and other motor skills and abilities, according to the age groups and sports levels of the targeted samples
