The skillful self-relationship with some basic skills of advanced volleyball players

Abstract


The importance of the current research lies in identifying the impact of the skillful self-concept on the performance of the basic skills of the advanced volleyball players in the Qaraqosh Sports Club. Hence, the research problem emerged for the researcher in what is the relationship between self-concept, skill, and some basic skills (passing, preparation, crushing hitting, serving) for advanced volleyball players in Qaraqosh Sports Club.The current research aims to identify: The degree of the skillful self-concept and the degree of the female players in the basic skills tests (passing, setting, crushing hitting, serving) in volleyball.The correlation between the skillful self-concept and some basic skills tests (passing, preparation, crushing hitting, serving) in volleyball.The researcher assumes the following:There is no significant correlation between the skillful self-concept and some basic skills tests (passing, preparation, crushing hitting, serving) in volleyball for advanced female players.The researcher used the descriptive approach in the manner of correlational studies due to its suitability and the nature of the current research.The research community included the Qaraqosh Sports Club players who advanced in volleyball and participated in the Iraqi Premier League competitions for the season 2022/2023, and their number is (13) players. The percentage of the research sample was (100%).The researcher concluded the following: The female players who possess the skillful self-concept and the basic skills are at a good level, but there is no link between the basic skills and the psychological concepts studied during the training process.
