The effect of managing a physical education lesson for middle school teachers in terms of the results of the admission tests for female students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences

Abstract


Sports activities are an essential and important element in refining the personality of the individual and developing his mental, physical and moral capabilities, and they contribute effectively to his acquisition of scientific knowledge, physical skills and athletic competencies. The motor activity of the students in a scientific manner leads to the improvement of the results of the students in the other academic subjects, so that the final result will be superiority in the study and a higher level of educational attainment, and because the practice of sports improves the behavior of the practitioners and leads them to adopt the method of regularity and integrity and keep them away from chaos and randomness, so attention must be paid The role of physical education in schools at its various stages.The research aims to identify the impact of the management of the physical education lesson among middle school teachers in terms of the results of the admission tests of their students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra for the academic years 2017-2021. Descriptive follow-up by cross-sectional survey method, and the researcher identifies the total community of students accepted in the college for those years, and their number reached (1026) male and female students, by (734) male and (292) female students. Then (30) special forms for the students' tests were selected from each academic year as a sample for the research and by random way, and thus (120) special forms for the results of the students were obtained, and thus the proportion of the research sample was (41.1%) of the total research community. The researcher used the arithmetic mean, percentage, standard deviation, analysis of variance, and the value of the least significant difference L.S.D., and the results of the research showed the general weakness in the performance level of students admitted to the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra for the academic years 2017-2021 in physical and skill tests. The researcher recommended the necessity of preparing physical education teachers with sufficient and highly experienced and able to carry out their educational tasks to the fullest. In order to ensure that their outputs qualify students to enter the faculties of physical education and sports sciences, and they are fully prepared to pass the exams with a good score.
