So the goalkeeper has become very important in the defense of the goal and to start the counterattack and quickly surprises the opponent and gives preference to players of his team to reach the opponent goal in the shortest possible time. So he becomes the key to the offensive play of the team. and to succeed in achieving this he must possess the basic skills that fit with his position in the team which will give him the ability to perform his duties in an optimal manner. These skills include: the skill of receiving, putting down the ball and handling it to fellow players in different forms and distances (short - medium – long) this means having muscular strength and speed in doing so, as well as mental ability and high concentration, ther efore he needs special training methods to develop his capabilities. The problem of this search was the existence of weakness of the young goalkeepers in general in initiating a counterattack after receiving the ball which is reflected negatively on the counter-attacks and surprise of the rival and thus gives him the opportunity to organize his ranks to defend his goal. The researcher used the experimental method to suit the nature of the problem , The sample of the research was determined by selecting (12) young goalkeepers and were divided into two equal groups (experimental and control). The researchers used the following statistical means in the statistical file SPSS (the arithmetic mean -standard deviation -Torsion coefficient - (T) for associated samples and (T) for independent samples). The researchers concluded that the weakness of the ability of goalkeepers and their inability to perform their offensive duties is due to the weakness of their ability to receive the correct balls and handling in a timely manner, which requiring them to be trained to achieve the results required to carry out their duties.
