Abstract

The research objecti333ve was to reveal the impact of the use of the numbered heads strategy and its impact on cognitive achievement of students in the third year of Muston's direct methods of teaching physical education. The researchers assumed that there are morale differences between the mean scores of students in the experimental and control groups in the cognitive achievement scores of Muston's direct methods of teaching physical education in the post-test in favor of the experimental group. The research was conducted on a sample of 34 female students in the third academic year of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Mosul University distributed them into two groups (experimental and control). The research was carried out for seven weeks, with a total of seven (7) educational units, with one theoretical educational unit per week, and to come up with the results of the statistical bag (SPSS). The research finds the most important conclusions: The experimental group that used the numbered heads strategy overtook the control group that used the standard method adopted by the school of subject in direct cognitive achievement in physical education teaching methods.
