Abstract

The problem of the research emerged through the researcher’s observation that the methods used in learning some skills, especially the game of gymnastics, are traditional methods and have been followed for a long time, in addition to the fact that some physical education teachers do not take the initiative to teach the game of gymnastics due to the lack of requirements for this game, as well as the lack of interest of education workers. The physical nature of this game, which is why the researcher decided to address it for the purpose of focusing attention on this game The research aimed to find out the effect of using picture posters in teaching the performance of the front roll skill for the gymnastics game. As for the hypotheses: There are statistically significant differences between the pre-test and the post-test, in favor of the post-test. There are also statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in the post-test, in favor of The experimental group that practices the learning method using picture posters. As for the third chapter, it contains: The researcher used the experimental method in the style of equal groups, and the research population is defined as female second-year middle school students, who number (197) students, and whose average age ranges between (14-15 Years. The research sample was chosen randomly from the original research community, using a lottery method, with a number of (28) female students. After excluding eight female students due to the exploratory experiment, whose average age was more than (16) years, thus the sample became (20) female students only. They were divided into Two equal groups, with (10) female students for each group, so the percentage of the research sample is (10.15%) This is an appropriate percentage to truly and honestly represent the research community. As for the fourth chapter, it included a presentation and discussion of the results. In the fifth chapter, the researcher addressed the conclusions and recommendations, which were as follows: The use of graphic posters helped achieve better results in learning the front roll skill, as well as saving the time and effort expended by the trainer in delivering the material to be learned. The recommendations are to emphasize the use of (image posters) in the educational process, as they provide greater benefit, and at various age levels.
