Abstract

This chapter contained the introduction and the importance of the research, and the importance of the (Driver) model for students in team games (basketball) was addressed. The problem of the research is in answering the following question: Do the skill exercises prepared by the researcher have a positive role in teaching the skills of chest handling and ball tapping?  The basket.  The objectives of the research were to prepare exercises according to the (Driver) model in learning the skills of chest handling and basketball tapping for students.. The areas of research were as follows: The human field: second stage students in the College of Basic Education, Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / Al-Mustansiriya University 2023/2024, according to (  30) From Damn.

Time frame: for the period from 10/8/2023 to 11/12/2023.

Research methodology and field procedures: This section contains the research methodology and procedures. The researcher adopted the experimental method to suit the research problem. The research community included second-year students, a sample of (231) students, and the morning study of students from the Basic College, Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, and they were divided into  Two groups, each group consisting of (30) students, and each group was subjected to different educational units. The Driver model was applied to the first group, and the second group, which was the control, was taught using the method used by the teacher. The researcher conducted pre-tests and measurements before applying the educational units for the solution method.  The problems lasted (5) weeks, with one educational unit per week. The tests were re-administered after completing the units, and the pre- and post-test results were processed using appropriate statistical methods (spss).

Presentation, analysis and discussion of the results: This section includes the presentation and analysis of the results of the user research tests that were reached after being treated statistically, then discussing them in light of theoretical studies and similar and previous studies with the aim of verifying the research hypotheses in order to reach appropriate conclusions and recommendations.

Conclusions and recommendations: This section contains conclusions showing that Driver's model has proven effective in learning the skills of chest handling and tackling in the game of basketball.  Among which were the presence of statistically significant differences between college students in the game of basketball. What are the recommendations for using Driver’s model in learning the skills of chest handling and tackling in basketball as well as in most sporting events?
