Abstract
The rise of professional football in Iraq in recent years has led to the emergence of new dimensions. One of the most important aspects in football is player transfers, and the characteristics of professional players have attracted the attention of clubs and fans. This is evident daily through the interaction with what is new and innovative in various fields and specialties. Clubs are interested in other indicators when hiring coaches, selling or transferring players, including financial indicators, with price being the most important factor occupying the peak position in the marketing mix. Hence, the research problem arises as there is no general theoretical agreement on these indicators. Some studies focus on individual indicators, while others focus on collective and organizational indicators. The problem was highlighted by questioning the most important factors in pricing and evaluating football players in the Iraqi Premier League. The researchers used a descriptive approach and purposively selected the research community, represented by 235 professional players in the Iraqi league. They proposed (3) areas in the questionnaire for the characteristics of professional players, with (20) items distributed among the three areas. They relied on transfer contracts to determine the price and concluded that there is a direct impact of indicators (characteristics of professional players) on the price value of players, with human capital forming the highest causal relationship for the characteristics of professional players with the price value of players
