The impact of mini games in achieving motor coordination and improving some basic skills in football

Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify the reality of teaching a sport education lesson in Diyala Governorate by studying the effect of small games in an im-proved kinetic skill and improving some basic football skills. The researcher has started the procedures of his experimental study in order to achieve his aims via using a big sample that is represented 84 schools in west Baquba, the center of Diyala governorate. Al-Ramah Al-Awali School is chosen ran-domly, the pupils of the fifth grade are chosen as a sample of study. The sample includes ten pupils. The researcher has based on the questionnaire in his study and he could identify the problem of the study by distributing a questionnaire to sports teachers in order to identify the real reason behind the problem of the study, also to choose proper games that coordinates with the age of pupils and to choose proper tests to know to the extent of improved kinetic compatibility and improving some soccer skills for fifth grade pupils, the researcher has performed several procedures to find a solution to this problem. The researcher has done first exploratory experiments about the ex-ercises used in the lesson and the second it was related to the small games for the lesson, and then by conducting pre-tests for the control and experimental samples, then the researcher has developed a study plan that requires the use of small games in the main educational units in the lesson instead of the exist-ing exercises prepared by the Ministry of Education. The tests have done for eight weeks, as a rate of two educational lessons per week, with an average of 16 educational units during the eight weeks, and after the end of Educational Units The researcher has conducted after as exams for the experimental and control samples in the same conditions as the tribal tests, and after using the statistical program (spss) the following results appeared: Learning with small games has a positive effect on students' learning .The students' kinetic com-patibility is achieved through the use of small game .Some basic football skills improved for fifth graders after using small games in the lessons in the sports lesson. The motivation of students towards playing has a great effect towards learning liking sport and playing. Using the element of repetition in playing improves students' skills in the sport education lesson.
