Abstract

The research problem emerged through the researcher’s observation of many of the situations that people go through, especially students, who are characterized by weak psychological and social adjustment in facing difficult situations that confront them. They face them in their lives. Through this, the researcher felt it necessary to study the psychosocial adjustment and its relationship to the locus of control among female students of the College of Physical Education. The aim of the research was to identify the relationship between psychosocial adjustment and the locus of control among female students of the College of Basic Education. The researcher assumed that there is a significant correlation between psychosocial adjustment. And the control center among female students of the College of Basic Education. The third chapter included. Research methodology: The nature of the studied problem determines the nature of the program used, and choosing the appropriate approach to research the problem is one of the steps that results in the success of the research. On this basis, the researcher used the descriptive method using the survey method to suit the nature of the problem to be solved. The research community was identified and they are all the female students of the fourth stage in the College of Physical Education for the academic year 2023-2024. Their number is (90), and they represent 95% of the research community. (10) female students were excluded from the research community due to conducting the exploratory experiment on them. The fourth chapter included To present and discuss the results, the researcher reached a set of conclusions and recommendations, the most important of which was that, through the results, the researcher concluded that there is a significant correlation between psychosocial adjustment and locus of control. The degree of psychosocial adjustment is affected by the amount of social relationships between students. The control center also has a role in achieving psychosocial adjustment. Recommendations include developing social values ​​among college students through curricula and educational and recreational means.
