Al-Mustansiriya Journal of Sports Sciences (MJSS) is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open access journal founded in 2019. MJSS published by University of Al-Mustansiriya – College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences. The publication rate is one volume per year, 4 issues per volume intended to be interesting and useful for researchers and practitioners in academic communities. The journal publishes research articles, reviews, and case reports. It seeks original research efforts based on theoretical or experimental work that fills the gap in current knowledge. The journal also publishes special issues with selected papers from relevant conferences. All articles submitted for publication must be original, previously unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All articles, submitted for possible publication at MJSS, are subject to a double-blind check, peer review process, plagiarism and similarity tests. Submissions are accepted only in English And Arabic.

Vol. 1 No. 5 (2024): 2024 Fifth Scientific Conference for Sports Sciences
The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences - Al-Mustansiriya University held its fifth scientific conference for sports sciences, under the slogan (A new vision for curricula and teaching methods in accordance with sustainable development and the needs of the labor market), where the conference was held for the period 6-7/3/2024.
The ِAimes of the conference is to:
1- Achieving sustainable development by paying attention to the programs and outcomes of colleges of physical education and teaching competencies in line with the needs of the labor market.
2- Encouraging thinking and innovation in teaching design and emphasizing the importance of technological integration to meet educational needs.
3- Stimulating and enhancing dialogue and exchanging experiences about the challenges facing the field of curricula and teaching methods, updating them, and searching for innovative solutions.
4- Studying curricula and teaching strategies in (departments under development) sports training - sports management - sports for people with disabilities.
